Anyone been through the heartache of finding out the following?
My husband and I have been married for 19 years. He went on a boys vacation to Thailand last month and since coming back has admitted that he went for a massage which ended up with him having sex with her! This is the first time that this has ever happened and he is deeply deeply sorry and resentful. It is tearing him up. I was totally shocked as were my close friends as no one would ever put him in that category. We have been seeking counseling and it is helping. He really is sorry and is trying very hard to make things right. I, however can not forgive the betrayal. The dynamics of the relationship have changed. I can not love him the same as I used to, no matter how hard he tries. He was my first love and I his. There was nothing lacking in our relationship. He says it just happened and he does not know why he did not stop it. I guess it may be curiosity on his part. He says it was just sex and meant nothing. I just think it is disgusting especially as it was in essence a prostitute...I am in deep shock. Anyone been through something similar? Please help. We have two kids.
Thanks everyone for your responses. Yes I know very well what goes on in Thailand, however even though I knew it was a 'golfing,' holiday I had the mutual trust and respect that any 19 year married couple would have and NEVER, in a million years expected this. Does that mean that all wives should not ever trust their husbands?
Anyone else who’s qualified and is having to do a crappy job for a living?
I'm a young woman who's got a Masters degree, plenty of experience and transferable skills, and am presently doing temp work as a security person. The agency that got me this had the nerve to tell me that it was a receptionist vacancy, and once I got to the spot it actually was security work!!! :O
And you know what the worst thing is, the sickest thing of them all?? The fact that something tells me that I could be considering myself lucky enough that I'm not actually serving coffees in Starbucks!!!
Those bankers... they screw up, and then I'm the one who has got to indeterminably put my MA on the shelf!! Financial Crisis my royal bottom.. they're all still eating M&S and vacationing in Thailand, while I'm sorting out their freaking mail. It's amazing how the big guy screws up and it's always the little one who's got to pay for it!!
Anyway, feel free to holla if you're having to paddle the same boat..
@Lordpercywooster XXV : Waw that was harsh. Seems like someone is having a worst day than mine, and is feeling a little wee more frustrated about their lives than I am! Well, as they say... there's always someone who is in a worst situation. Chill dude..
@ Tinababy: oh don't bother about the frustrated specimen who first replied to this, he's obviously a lot more unhappy about his own situation, whatever it actually is, than we are about ours, obviously... and believe me on that!! I can recognize them! lol As for what you've just explained, I so know what you mean.. kinship is a bitch, and it's one of the two headed monsters that comes out whenever there's a finantial crisis.. only the sons and daughters and nieces get jobs when that's the case, and unfortunitilly all I can count on are my qualifications, skills and experience.. don't exackly know anyone who can just hand it out to me merelly out of acquaintence, like some do lol
@Tinababy: On the other hand, I can also relate with that internship matter of yours. I did my masters degree in a country in which my work experience is worth nothing, because I got it in my native country. And ever since I finished this masters I have been working in things like finance, recruitment and so on.. things which don't have anything to do with my area, just so that I could pay the bills.. therefore not having any time to pale around doing career related unpaid internships either. and as a result it's been really tough for me as well to get a job in my area in the country where I'm presently living.. Which will only leave me with one option, which is to apply for a PhD and a scholarship.. people like us are pushed into going academic!! Good news is I personally love it, and can't wait to go back to doing post grad research, it's my think!! But if it weren’t for that I know that I would eventually reach an even worst dead end than the one in which I am now.
@Tinababy: So all of this to say Tina, that at the end of the day, we really are padling the same boat!
And being that we are all we can actually count on, keep it strong, proactive and above all persistant! Things arent just given, presented, to people like us, but once we get them I'm sure that it tastes a lot better than it would otherwise. Try and see whether you can squeeze some voluntary work in between shifts at the restaurant, for instance.. or go academic like I'm going to. It means working hard, working harder than the ones to whom things are given, but it also means that when you get it will mean more and feel better!
Does anyone know what this movie is?
these two girls are going on vacation to thailand and they find drugs in their luggage. they arrest them and give them both 90 yrs or something in prison in thailand. they are both from america and the whole movie is about them trying to get out of prison. they get an american lawyer to help them get out. at the end they have a trial and they don't win. they both have 90 yrs, so one of them takes the other one's sentence so the other one can go back home and the lawyer says he won't give up.
Ughh! i hate when the bug goes in her ear! Thanks, thats the movie.
My next vacation will be singapore or Taipei, Can anyone tell me about SPG girls?
Where do these girls hang out? Should I skip Singapore, Thailand was fun but I need more info on the SPG girls please. If anyone has been to Taiwan which girls are better?? Taiwanese or SPGS??
Can anyone help me out with this situation?
A few months ago, I used to be friends with a guy in my class. After going out several times, we quickly became very close and eventually, we became best friends. One day, there was a fight between us and we became enemies. We fought for days in class and he would call me several names and make fun of me. I was hurt and it made me sad. He even went to the extent of hanging out with another girl to make me jealous. On the last day of school, we decided to stop fighting and be friendly to each other. Now, he is in Thailand for vacation and just recently, he msned me and told me he missed me. Why would he say that? Shouldn't he say he misses his other friend (the one that he hanged out with to make me jealous) ? I know he wants to be friends again and so do I but, should I ask him if he wants to best friends again? I'm afraid that he and the other girl have become very good friends. Help?
What I mean is I'm afriad he and the other girl are best friends or boyfriend and girlfriend.
Anyone have tips on cheap holiday travel ideas for new years 2008?
Hi guys, my name is sofia, I live in Los Angeles. Help! My boyfriend and I would really like to get away this year, at the end of December, possibly beginning of January for an eight or nine day vacation, Our budget is limited, and Im really vexd on where we should go. My best friend's are going to pukhet Thailand, but I can't seem to find anything reasonable during that peak holiday season. We really don't have to travel there. My boyfriend has NEVER been outside the united states (I know:) so I wanted to bring him somewhere unique, exotic, and fun... I was hoping you might have a good idea, maybe a story from one of your travels that you would like to share with me. I am really overwhelmed! Ideally our budget is really only about $2,ooo per person airfare, hotel, and food, and I DON'T want to take a cruise! lol.. Am I crazy, or is this doable? I would so appreciate your help! I have a fantastic two bedroom apt between westwood and Beverly hills, anyone up for a home swap:) Thx Sofia

Anyone willing to help with design?
I have a project that I have to make a whole vacation plan and history and all that of Thailand...thing is, I'm really bad with computers (I know the basics of Word but I dont know much about how to design things on it). We have to make an attractive title page and I was wondering if anyone good with designing would be willing to help me out of the "kindness of their heart"? Shouldn't take too long (just one page on word) I'm just not good at it...I can send what I already have and maybe someone could "tweak" it...it would help out a lot.
CAN I HAVE YOUR EMAIL PLEASE
