Take a chance and do something you thought you would never do. I did, and it was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. I never thought of a fitness holiday training Muay Thai and MMA. But I did it and feel great
Thai Food Help – The Allure Of Street Food In Thailand
Thailand food is getting increasingly popular in the west but you can't compare eating Thai dishes in your neighborhood restaurant to discovering it in its homeland.
If you were to ask any tourist which destinations in the world offer the best food culture, Thailand is likely to be one of the spots that you hear. Its landscape allows for various unique ingredients and techniques of preparation; ranging from the mountains in the north, a lush river basin in its center and to the south - thick tropical rainforests.
The cuisine itself is recognized for balancing out four taste sensations - sweet, sour, spice and saltiness.
Thai food is recognized for its use of fresh herbs as opposed to dried such as coriander, lemongrass and mint. The use of fresh herbs adds extra depth to recipes and significantly more color which makes the dishes pleasing to the senses.
Other flavors you are likely to come across are garlic, ginger, lime, soy beans, coconut, chilies and fish sauce. Thais like it hot!
No trip to Thailand is complete without trying out the outstanding variety of foods available. Most of the enjoyment in foreign travel is to try out the local cuisine - think of roast duck curry, sticky rice with mango and even for the brave: deep fried locusts!
Wherever you are in Thailand, be sure to visit the local night markets. The night markets and street stalls are some of the best places to try the delights that Thai cuisine has to offer. You will probably find that on discovering street food you will never sit down in one of its restaurants again!
Each of the stalls tends to specialize in one dish which will have been freshly prepared and served to you in its finest form. You really should shed any fears about eating foods from the street vendors. You will agree once you have witnessed how less time it takes to flash-fry beef in oyster sauce or how quickly coconut chicken soup can be thrown together. Food here doesn't sit around for long!
Traditionally, the Thais are snacking on foods all day - from street stalls. Follow suit and experiment as much as you can. You won't get this back home and not for these prices either!
Have some pomelo fruit for breakfast dipped into a mix of salt, chili and sugar. Choose from sticks of chicken, beef or prawn satay as you are passing stalls and almost certainly a bowl of noodle soup or steaming rice with an accompanying papaya salad. Wash it all down with a fresh fruit shake before finding room for more Thai food delicacies!

Where to buy Fairtex muay thai gloves in Thailand?
You'd think it would be easy to find a place selling Fairtex muay thai gear in Thailand since that's where its made but so far I haven't been able to locate a single store. I'll be vacationing there soon and I'd like to know if anyone can tell me where in Bangkok or Pattaya I'd be able to buy tons of muay thai gear, which is extremely expensive here in the states.

Where can I go for a 2-3 day Muay Thai Camp in Thailand?
I will be in HK and Thailand for vacation with my girlfriend for two weeks. I have about 15 years of experience in TKD/HKD, but not really in Muay Thai. So I'd love to attend a camp/seminar series that is intense and challenging, but geared toward those who aren't looking to make a career out of it or anything. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Training Muay Thai and MMA in tropics of Thailand for weight-loss
I never thought that a vacation in the tropics of Thailand on the island of Phuket, Thailand could turn into a life changing experience, but it did. I spent nearly two months at the Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp on the island of Phuket, Thailand and had a wonderful time enjoying Thai culture, meeting the Muay Thai trainers and staff at Tiger Muay Thai, however, what happened was I ended up losing 21 pounds in almost two months and enjoying every minute of exercise and training Muay Thai.
I have never been too outgoing, but after seeing theri website, I was excited and decided that a vacation that could also be beneficial by losing weight, getting fit through exercise training Muay Thai two times each day, and also swimming and going to the beach. I was amazed.
I lost weight, gained muscle, learned a new Martial Art, Muay Thai, which is the National Sport of Thailand and a lot like kickboxing but with elbows and knees. I also got an incredible tan. At least 3 times a week myself and several friends I made while training at the camp would go down to Nai Harn, Kata, or even Karon beaches. Just beautiful stretches of white sand and ice blue water. We trained at the beach, had BBQ parties at the training camp with live music, and even real fights in one of the Muay Thai rings. There must have been 75+ people for the BBQ and full moon party.
If you have not considered a fitness vacation or weight-loss holiday, you should consider Tiger Muay Thai and MMA training camp, Phuket, Thailand. Wonderful people that changed my perspective on fitness holidays.
What I thought made the difference was the the way we trained Muay Thai and MMA in groups of beginners to intermediate to advanced. I started out as a beginner and by my 6th week at the camp my head Muay Thai instructor said I was able to move up into the next level of Muay Thai training.
The training camp offers "Boot Camp" fitness courses, Yoga, and running programs for fitness for those that like those types of exercise. There are on-site bungalows which are very affordable and a wide variety of resorts located within walking distance f Tiger Muay Thai and many of those have pools, restaurants, and air-conditioning.
I would rate my time at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand with 5 stars. I will certainly return as I made frinds that will join me again next year for weight-loss, training Muay Thai, and fun in the sun.

When Going On A Vacation To Thailand, Do You Have To Speak A Little Thai Or Do They All Know English There?
My boyfriend and I are considering going on a 17 days-long travel through the country (with a touroperator naturally, not by ourselves). Should we learn some basic Thai before we go, or will the people there know some English (enough to express themselves and understand what we're saying)?
