well i already went to Thailand and havent been to the second place but i can tell you that Bangkok is REALLY fun !!!!!

It's for next year summer 2009, one week in Thailand. I really want to go but right now I'm worried about the cost. Of course the good thing is that I have a year to get the money together and I can pay in installments. The trip is $2,500 for everything (except my spending money). Would you use the money for bills or would you take this vacation if you were me? I love travel, too and I only live once. What would you choose?

Well, it will probably be 10-15 years before I am completely debt free because I have a high balance on my student loans. I don't want to wait until I am in my 40s to do these things. How do I even know if I'll live that long?
I have cleared away my car loan and credit card debts at this point by taking on a part time job. I'm about to start chipping away at the student loans and try to build my savings, too.

In the UK and Europe (more so even for Europe), housing is either free or subsidized for most citizens based on income levels and most people are out of permanent jobs e.g. Germany where they get enough on welfare checks to afford a vacation in Thailand. Work hours are few (they work only 33 hours a week in France, some even work only 33 hours in 2 days.
